It even surpasses the design of robotics as the crux of the matter is based on the roots of the computer. If brains have been gifted to us by the almighty, humans gifted each other technology and computers are the gray matter of technology. Computer hardware is the be all and end all of the computers and comprises its entire anatomy.
Computer hardware comprises of the physical aspects of a computer system like the computer case, monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Other parts like the hard disk drive as a store of movies, music, images, & other files, motherboard, video card are all installed within something called a computer case. Anything that can be touched and seen with the naked eye consists of hardware.
The two elements that build up a computer system are the hardware, and the software in which hardware are the material elements and software are the intangible ones and comprises of instructions and data that a computer intakes to process the data and provide us with an output.
Computers galore: types and kinds
Desktop computers are the earliest inventions after super computers that were extremely huge in size. These small sets of computers comprised of external hardware like an external keyboard and mouse and central processing unit (CPU) that could be placed on desks and tables.
Laptop computers have it all in one. The mouse and keyboard and other hardware are incorporated in a single system that has been made more portable for more access anytime and anywhere.
Hardware Components of computers:
Hardware comprises of many components in a computer. The case of equipment consists of the metal case that has a lot more elements enclosed in it. There are various shapes and sizes of these cases, and a tower model is somewhat sized between 15-25 inches. You can open it up with a screwdriver to calm your curious mind. The computer case comprises a power supply unit which converts electricity to the direct current that gives access to the other components. The motherboard is another element of hardware that is a little more complex and is a board made of plastic that has many parts on it. The central processing unit (CPU), the main memory and other slots are also present here.
The internal hard disk drive takes in all your data and stores the software for future reference. The optical disk drive allows writing on CDs and DVDs. The sound card, the video card are primarily used to store all the music and videos and pictures that comprise software on it. Thus, this hardware component might seem tiny, but its importance is supreme. A mouse, keyboard, and monitor are also essential hardware components without which the entire computer system is an utter failure.
Thus, computer hardware is the backbone of the system of equipment as it gives it structure and helps it ‘stand tall’.
